Dr. Sahay received her doctoral degree at Rutgers University in the School of Communication and Information. She is currently an Associate Professor of Corporate Communication at Pennsylvania State University, Abington. Surabhi's research primarily looks at how employees and leaders participate and interact during organizational change and crisis. She looks at employee engagement, role conflict, participation, improvisation, and resilience. In her recent projects, Surabhi found that:
1) Designing participation effectively is key for a successful change process
2) Improvisations are important when coping with Crisis
3) Employee and leader identities can shift during change and crisis
4) Organizational resilience is key, but it comes at a cost if employee needs are not taken into consideration
